LOCAL WASTE HUBS

This community-led initiative has a goal of achieving zero landfill and a 50% reduction in hard waste on Flinders Island within 10 years. The initiative plans to achieve this by reducing waste from households and rental accommodations at the source, as well as implementing waste reduction and education strategies within and across communities.

The project will encourage visitors and residents alike to develop a new and thoughtful relationship with waste for a better planet.
