FURNEAUX MARITIME HISTORY CENTRE

This project involves the design and development of a self-sustaining Maritime History Centre to showcase the nationally significant maritime cultural heritage of Flinders Island and the Furneaux Group.

In addition to a maritime display area, the Centre will include multipurpose community facilities and services for visitors. The project will contribute to the regeneration of the islands’ maritime and cultural history. It will collaborate with the Furneaux Museum strengthening local visitor and resident opportunities.
